John A. Logan College invites applications for the position of Chief Information Technology Officer. John A. Logan is acomprehensive community college located in Carterville, Illinois. The college, nationally recognized for outstanding faculty, staff,programs and facilities, serves the Illinois Community College District #530. The college's annual budget is approximately $60 million. Thecollege serves a diverse region of communities within the college's district serving a population of approximately 143,479. John A. LoganCollege is an established, growing, and innovative higher education institution. The College serves over 6,200 credit-hour studentsthroughout its 1,192 square mile district. Carterville is located in southern Illinois and is within ten minutes of a major university andwithin two hours of St. Louis, MO. John A. Logan College is seeking a Chief Information Technology Officer to provide leadership,planning, coordination and direction of the College's administrative, academic, and infrastructure technology resources. The ChiefInformation Technology Officer will work with the executive management team, departmental stakeholders, the Integrated Technology Committee,faculty, staff and students to ensure excellence and integrity in identifying, recommending, implementing, and supporting technologysolutions to achieve business and academic goals. Reporting to the Vice-President of Business Services and College Facilities, the positionwill participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the College and supervise a staff of IT professional and studentworkers by providing operational planning, prioritization, and direction. The candidate must possess exemplary leadership qualities,experience and a proven history of success in guiding technology organizations to achieve objectives. The candidate should demonstrateexperience and a best practice approach to strategic planning, governance, organizational development, project and change management, and akeen understanding of business processes and operations essential for successful stewardship of a complex organization in a fast-pacedenvironment.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required (Master's degree in thesefields or Business Administration with technology as a core component preferred) and demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years ofprogressively responsible experience in managing and/or directing an IT organization is required (community college or higher educationenvironment preferred).
